Austin Theory beats Finn Balor to Win U.S. Championship on WWE Raw

After months of trying to impress Vince McMahon, Austin Theory (now known as Theory) has won the title of WWE United States Champion.

Theory defeated Finn Balor on Monday Night Raw to win the U.S title.

After the match, Theory celebrated in the ring with some of the heel roster, and then he went on stage to celebrate with McMahon.

Following Theory’s U.S. Championship victory, Alpha Academy, Cedric Alexander, and a slew of other WWE Superstars went into the ring to celebrate with the new champion.

They lifted Theory on their shoulders as he celebrated with the title on his shoulder. Vince McMahon would make his entrance as well.

Theory made his way up the ramp, taking a celebratory selfie with the Chairman of WWE.

Theory is being pushed as the next big star and Vince McMahon reportedly believes he could be the next John Cena.

Theory is on the same path as John Cena. When Cena made his WWE debut, he lost matches on TV for months and was eventually booked to win the United States Title, which was considered a move to the World Championship.
