Charlotte Flair Vs Ronda Rousey “I Quit Match” at WrestleMania Backlash

Charlotte Flair Vs Ronda Rousey “I Quit Match” for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash

Following the set-up of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE has officially announced a rematch between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey for WrestleMania Backlash.

The match would be an “I Quit Match” after Rousey’s challenge, which she issued Friday night, was denied by Flair at the event.

Later in the show, Adam Pearce told Rousey that he would decide on a rematch “tomorrow” with the company, using his social platform to announce the match.

WrestleMania Backlash will take place on Sunday, May 8 from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

For those who didn’t catch the match themselves, Rousey locked her arm bar on Flair and, although she fought for a minute, eventually clicked.

The only problem was that a short while earlier in the match, Flair clashed with the referee, which resulted in him being sent out.

By the time Rousey turned on the tap, he hadn’t woken up, so Rousey was waiting to go with him.

She manages to wake him up but then, Flair strikes and attacks Rossi, then hits his terminator and knocks him down.

While Rousey would have been on her own two feet, it wasn’t fast enough to defeat number three, and Flair officially won the match.

It was clear that Rousey was furious, and now he had a second chance at Flair’s title.

While Rousey brought up the referee and clicked Flair during last night’s SmackDown show, she also said that she didn’t allow any excuses and that Flair won the match.

We will have to wait and see what happens during the rematch next month.

WrestleMania Backlash 22 will air exclusively on Peacock in the US and WWE Network on Sunday, May 8 at 8 p.m. EST.
