IPL 2022, SRH vs RCB: Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their upcoming Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.
Sunrisers Hyderabad would like to break their three-match losing streak to Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
While the Kane Williamson-led side won five straight games to break into the top-4 bracket, it fell to three consecutive losses, with injuries to some players being the main reason behind it.
Washington Sundar, a specialist spinner for the team, has injured his bowling arm again, while Natarajan took a swallow in the game against Chennai Super Kings.
Both the players missed the game against Delhi Capitals where the 2016 IPL winners displayed scintillating bowling.
Umran Malik, the fastest bowler in the current tournament, was the only bright spot for Hyderabad’s bowling attack, which was cleared by former captain David Warner.
Umran, who took five wickets against Gujarat Titans on April 27, conceded 52 runs without a wicket. Sean Abbott and Karthik Tyagi also conceded 47 and 37 respectively.
It remains to be seen whether Natarajan returns to the setup but coach Tom Moody would like to include Marco Jensen, who shattered Bangalore’s top order in the first leg.
Incidentally, this was Hyderabad’s last win of the 10-team competition.
Sunrisers bowlers will have to finish their job against the likes of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik. But Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been a reliable pick for the Orange Army.
The senior India pacer was economical in the last game to return 1/25 including maiden overs against Delhi Capitals.
On the batting front, Sunrisers skipper Williamson is at the top but he has been hot and cold so far.
The New Zealand stalwart has scored 199 runs in 10 matches at an average of 22.11. Rahul Tripathi’s pace has also slowed down after a great start to the season.
The Indian has scored just 79 runs in the last five matches. While both the batting stars are looking for their run-scoring mojo, the team will rely heavily on Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran in the middle order.
Let’s take a look at the probable playing XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Openers: Kane Williamson, Abhishek Sharma
Top and Middle Order: Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran
Power Hitter: Shashank Singh
Spin Option: Washington Beautiful

SRH Probable XI: Kane Williamson (c), Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Janssen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan
Changes from the previous match: In the previous meeting with Bangalore, Marco Jensen took three wickets, with Virat Kohli for zero on the first ball. South Africa are likely to return in the eleven, replacing Sean Abbott. Also, Washington and Natarajan will replace Shreyas Gopal and Kartik Tyagi respectively. It remains to be seen whether both the Indians have achieved match fitness.
