Since his release from WWE in December, Jeff Hardy has been rumored to be joining AEW alongside his brother Matt Hardy. Jeff is currently under a non-compete with WWE as of March 9.
With Jeff’s non-competition soon coming to an end, Charismatic Enigma announced that he and his brother would be bringing Matt Hardy back on March 12 for a wrestling reunion tour at Big Time Wrestling in Webster, MA. With news of him teaming up with his brother to re-enter the wrestling world, a deal with a major promotion seems inevitable.
Hardy joined Jared Myers in a conversation on his YouTube channel “Official Jared Myers“. During that show, he confirmed he was looking at AEW in the future.
The conversation revolved around his time in WWE and his AEW debut. Later, Enigmatic Souls gave the green light to their fans and confirmed their debut in Tony Khan promotions in interviews.
Jeff was released from WWE in December 2021 following an incident at a house show. Matt Hardy later said that he felt that WWE had jumped the gun on releasing Jeff.
In interviews while Jeff was still with WWE, he and Matt both expressed their desire to work with each other again. Throughout their time as a team, Jeff Hardy and Matt have captured more than ten tag team championships.
