Sasha Banks and Naomi have been making some big headlines after their exit during the opening moments of WWE Raw this week.
Now WWE has issued an official statement and it is quite clear.
PW Insider received an official response from Vince McMahon’s company about what happened this week.
The statement further added that the women had eight hours to put together their Six Pack Challenge match, but Banks and Naomi were still reportedly feeling uncomfortable attending.
Banks may have provided some clues that he is not very happy with WWE. He unfollowed Vince McMahon and several other WWE Superstars in the days before his walkout.
Becky Lynch, Bayley, The Usos, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were also unfollowed.
Now Banks only follows six accounts on Twitter, including John Cena, Snoop Dogg and Tamina.
It is very interesting that she purged her follow-up list before this result, but it is not confirmed that the two are 100% related yet.
“When Sasha Banks and Naomi arrived at the arena this afternoon, they were informed of their participation in the main event of tonight’s Monday Night Raw. During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk and walked out.
They claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents – even though they’d had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence.
Monday Night Raw is a scripted live TV show, whose characters are expected to perform the requirements of their contract. We regret we were unable to deliver, as advertised, tonight’s main event.”
WWE Raw Sasha Banks and Naomi were apparently not happy with their booking instructions on Raw. The fact that the company has provided so many details in its official statement is also quite interesting.
