Smackdown Results – This week’s WrestleMania special show of WWE SmackDown was seen. This episode of SmackDown started with an Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match. WWE Superstar Madcap Moss created history by winning the match by eliminating US Champion Finn Balor at the end of the match. A total of 19 superstars took part in this match and let us tell you, apart from Balor, big superstars like NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler, Damian Priest also participated in this match.
If seen, before the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match, it did not look like Madcap Moss would win this match, so his victory was quite shocking. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this is the biggest win of Madcap Moss’ career. If we talk about the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match, then Moss eliminated a total of 4 superstars in this match and the superstars he eliminated in this match included Drew Gulak, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode apart from Finn Balor. It will be interesting to see how Madcap Moss benefits from this win going forward.
Drew McIntyre stabs in the ring, WWE dares Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal On SmackDown
Madcap Moss defeated US Champion Finn Balor to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. US The champion knocked out Priest late in the match as he began to take the field. The Madcaps nearly eliminated their last four competitors – Balor, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler – in one fell swoop. Madcap reversed the Irish whip and was cleaned out, before Balor took the lead and was on his way to victory. Earlier in the match, Corbin became the coach of the Madcaps but on several occasions he had to pay the cost of battle royale. Corbin overtook Moss before walking backstage, further stirring up the friction of their friendship.
In the main event segment of the WrestleMania go-home show, Corbin hosted his “Happy Talk” segment with a special guest, McIntyre’s stolen Claymore Angela. Corbin begins the segment by touting Madcap’s achievements as the winner of the 2022 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He later made a lame joke about McIntyre’s dead mother, causing McIntyre to sneak out from behind.
McIntyre lays Madcap with a single forearm on the ramp before grabbing a steel chair. McIntyre dodges a steel chair at Corbin, who later runs away from his WrestleMania rival. McIntyre traces his anger on the set of a talk show. “The Scottish Psychopath” cut a table in half with his sword and threw furniture over the top rope. McIntyre closed SmackDown with his sword in the middle of the ring, pyrotechnics and fireworks.
Really disappointing lead to WrestleMania 38. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the first man to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, has been demoted repeatedly since its inception. It was moved from the main card of WrestleMania to the pre-show and started with the go-home edition of SmackDown last year.
Five of the seven superstars who won matches since 2014 before Friday are no longer with the company. WWE’s lack of commitment to the match really shines through in its participants. The arena consisted mostly of superstars with little or no momentum. Madcap, the winner, was later cut short of his win by Corbin and was knocked out with the same shot by McIntyre. The fact that none of the major WrestleMania 38 attractions — like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, Kevin Owens, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair — took part, was quite disappointing.
