The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is going to start on October 17 in UAE but before that, the final of IPL 2021 will be held on October 15 in UAE, which means two big leagues will be seen continuously in UAE.

This year’s T20 WC was scheduled to be held in India but due to Kovid-19, like IPL 2021 (Indian Premier League 2021), World T20 is also going to be held in UAE. Even though this year’s T20 World Cup is being held in the UAE, India will still be the host of the T20 World Cup 2021
T20 World Cup 2021 will be played in 4 rounds 1) Round one 2) Nockout Stage 3) Semi-finals 4) Final.

- 8 TEAMS (BAN, SL, IRL, NED, SCO, NAM, OMAN, PNG) TO FIGHT FOR A PLACE IN SUPER 12s
- 8 TEAM TO BE DIVIDED INTO 2 GROUPS OF 4 EACH.T
- OP 2 TEAMS FORM EACH GROUPS TO QUALIFIING FOR SUPER 12s
- QUALIFLING TEAMS TO JOIN TO 8 RANKED T20 TEAMS
8 teams will participate in the first round Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, NAM, Oman, PNG and Netherlands out of these 8 teams only 4 teams will be selected for ROUND 2.

There will be a total of 12 teams in round 2, 6-6 teams will be divided into two parts A & B. Each team will get 5 matches, according to the points table, any 4 teams will get woken up for the semi-finals.

Till now there have been 6 editions of T20 Word Cup. In the first edition itself, India won the T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. For the first time India became the T20 champion, this T20 World Cup was held in South Africa.
In 2009, the T20 World Cup was held in England, India was out of the tournament in the second round. After that in 2010 and 2012 also India was eliminated in Round 2. In 2014, India once again went to the final under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but could not win, Sri Lanka defeated India in the final. In 2016, a similar thing happened when India defeated West Indies in the semi-finals. And West Indies won the T20 World Cup by defeating England in the final.
