3 reasons for India’s defeat

1 :- team selection

The weather report had already come out in this match that there will be an effect of rain in this match.  In such a situation, New Zealand, sensing the circumstances, gave a chance to the fast bowlers in the form of their five bowlers. But India did not take a lesson from it and they fielded not one or two of their spinners in the match, while both the spinners bowled only 22 overs in the first innings. In the second innings too, the pair of Ashwin and Jadeja bowled a total of 18.  Although Ashwin showed a strong game but Jaddu looked weak in this match.

2 :- India lacks fourth fast bowler

advantage of the excellent condition for fast bowling.  Mohammed Shami (4/76) and Ishant Sharma (3/48) bowled well in the first innings. But Jasprit Bumrah (0/57) could not take any wicket despite good bowling.  In such a situation, India missed Mohammed Siraj very much.  Because in these circumstances, he too could have left his impact in this match.

3 :- The tail batsmen of both the teams also made a difference.

By the way, bowlers are rarely expected to bat.  But for New Zealand his bowlers did amazing here too.  On the one hand, in the first innings, India lost its 7th wicket at the score of 205.  But his innings was reduced to 217.  On the other hand, the Kiwi team lost its 7th wicket for 192 runs.  But despite this, with the help of his tail batsmen, his total reached 249 in the first innings, giving him a strong lead of 32 runs.  In the second innings also, India’s last 3 wickets could add only 14 runs, while the Kiwi team did not need it.
