WWE has suspended Sasha Banks and Naomi after being kicked out of Monday Night Raw earlier this week over alleged creative differences.
On a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE commentator Michael Cole announced WWE suspending Sasha Banks and Naomi indefinitely due to a walkout from WWE.
In addition, she added a future women’s tag team tournament to be held in the coming weeks to crown the new women’s tag team title.
Instead, WWE took stern action against the Tag Team Champions.
Sasha Banks, Naomi After Raw Walkout
On Monday Night Raw, the two walked out of the show after John Laurinitis relinquished his title in office.
She was slated to compete in a six-pack challenge to determine Bianca Belair’s challenger in the upcoming Hell in a Cell.
A massive bout was set to headline the show, with Becky Lynch, Nikki A.S.H., Dewdrop and Asuka being the remaining four contestants in the match.
WWE later issued a statement on the situation, stating that Sasha Banks and Naomi claimed they were not respected enough as champions.
The pair were reportedly uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents, who were not mentioned in the report.
This week on SmackDown, Michael Cole announced on commentary that the higher-ups had decided to suspend Sasha Banks and Naomi and vacate their titles.
In the future, a tournament will be held to crown the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. In addition, Cole said the women disappointed everyone with their actions.
